Below is information on submitting your PROFILE and any ARTICLES
or PHOTOs or GRAPHICS.
TO SUBMIT YOUR PROFILE:
COPYRIGHT ISSUES: First off, we assume the text and
photos are created by the person submitting the materials and that they
have the legal rights to agree to this paragraph. If you are submitting
a professionally taken photograph please make sure you are able to send
it to us for reproduction from the company that took the photo for you.
We do not want to break copyright rules. Second, the creator of any article
or graphic/photo submitted to us must agree to the following:
you are giving Vizsladogs, Ltd., www.vizsladogs.com, and the
Vizsla Home Page permission to use the text and photo/graphic without
cost. We may use the text and images in any product we are involved with
(such as Vizsla Newsletters, CD Roms, Internet Publishing, etc.). You
also give permission for other dog related newsletters to reprint your
text or photo(s) in their local newsletters without payment, provided
they attribute the article and graphic to the appropriate creator and
the Vizsla Home Page.
PHOTOs: All photos & graphics should be
scanned into a *.gif or *.jpg format. It is suggested to keep the
files as small as possible so folks don't have to wait for a long
time (and perhaps "time out") while the picture loads.
We limit the "profiles" section to 3-4 pictures
depending upon the size. The individual *.gif or *.jpg files
should not exceed 30-35K in size. If you do not have a scanner,
send us the picture(s) and a donation of $5 per photo to cover
our costs. We'll scan the photo(s) and return them to you. Make
sure your name and address and the name of the dog is on the back
of each photo.
TEXT: All text should be typed in a word
processor and saved as a *.txt (text) format. If you do not have
a computer make arrangements to either fax us the text document,
or type it out and send us a copy. We'll scan it in and try to
convert it into the text document we need. In your text file
indicate which paragraph belongs to which photo so we put things
in their proper order (and this makes the production easier).
